Production of China Carbon Road No. 2 Part 2 [BB installation and brake caliper replacement]

time 2016/12/24

Continued from the last time. Next, I thought I'd build a headset, but I can't find it no matter how much I look in the box… I asked, and it answered yes and paid for the headset, but apparently I forgot to put it in, so I ordered an integral headset on Amazon and arrived the next day. As a result, it seems that the manufacturer will send it to the manufacturer when they e-mail you that you forgot the headset. Well, it arrives in two weeks…
The purchased integral headset comes with a star fangle nut, but since the star fangle nut can not be used for the carbon column, I will use the pressure plug of the flounder prepared separately. Greased and assembled with a headset. I use park tool polylubes instead of Duragris. It is easy because it does not need press-fit. Next is the installation of BB. The standard is BSA. Grease the screw part of the frame and the screw part of BB. There seems to be a method of applying a loosening inhibitor to the screw part of BB, but recent BB seems to be specified to use grease according to the installation manual. BB mounting. The tightening torque of BB is 30 Nm to 50 Nm, but since it was tightened with a torque wrench used when tightening the engine mount or wheel nut of the car, the force is not so difficult. The wheel nut is 100 Nm to 120 Nm… The order in which this area pairs depends on your mood. (^_^;) The caliper only has a post mount, but the frame is flat mount, so I use an adapter. Recent disk load is 140mm before, 140mm after, but the caliper I bought said that it was strongly recommended to use 160mm before, so I used an adapter that converts to 160mm before. The previous installation was installed without problems, but there was a problem behind. I use A TRP HY/ RD that converts from mechanical to hydraulic, but since the caliper part has a cylinder, the main body is large and seems to interfere with the seat stay. Because I can not help it, I installed the BR-R517 of Shimano which I used before HY / RD. I'm not convinced…
