Change of muffler for a car (Mirage)

time 2017/03/03

Continued from the last time. The reason why it continues was that I came home from the camp and it was still 12 o'clock, so I decided to replace the muffler that arrived on Saturday morning.

It is this muffler that arrived. The only new muffler I can buy now with the Mitsubishi Mirage (CJ4A) I'm riding was the RM-01A of Fujibo. A senior at cats rally factory, a motor sports club to which I belong, recently replaced it with this muffler, and when I got on the side, it sounded pretty good, so I took advantage of it (laughs)

First of all, I take down the tool box loaded in the car… (*_*) (^_^;) This tool box is getting more and more damaged, so I want to replace it. Next is not metal but resin tool box …

This is the mirage to replace the muffler. Once, I went out to the local championship with a rally car. I don't know what I'm aiming for with a bicycle carrier… (laughs) And jacked up. The jack used is an Iron Garage Jack made of Alkan. There are 45 kg of aluminum jacks that weigh about half with just a jack, but iron was a little cheaper (laughs) I replaced the center pipe and rear muffler behind the catalyst, so I jacked up all four wheels. Because it dives under the car, it is high. If it is a small floor jack sold at a home center, it will not go up to here, so you will need a garage jack. The connection between the center pipe and the rear muffler. Sure enough, I'm stuck… I was worried that the bolt could not be twisted, but it came off safely. One of the three had a little bend in the bolt. I was able to take the rear muffler. The bolt does not loosen at all, so the stay of the muffler is bent. Well, I don't think I'll use this muffler anymore, but it's dirty. My hands got dirty, too. But after this, it got dirter… Dirt can be removed better than ordinary detergents. The connection between the catalyst and the center pipe. I was more fixated here. One of the two was loosened with an impact wrench, but the other does not loosen at all … The impact wrench I have is the maximum torque 300 Nm, but it does not (*_*) loosen even so, by the way, the maximum tightening torque of bb and sproke of the road bike is 50 Nm, the tightening torque of the wheel nut of the car is 80 to 100 Nm depending on the model of the car. Because I could not help it, I held the spinna handle with both hands, hung my foot on the car, pulled it to my heart's content, and somehow loosened it. Is weight training effective? Even so, how much Nm of force did it take to loosen … It took about three hours so far. This hand of work takes time to remove the sticking object, so the installation is completed immediately. I ordered a reinforced muffler ring to replace the muffler ring, so I removed the muffler ring attached, but after all it was hard … Anything was fine, but the cheap reinforced muffler ring happened to be blue. I ordered 6 pieces on Amazon, but there were no 6 pieces, and I bought 5 pieces and 1 piece which was cheaper than 2 sets of 3 pieces. And the installation of reinforced muffler ring, center pipe and rear muffler. It was easy to come with a gasket between the catalyst and the center pipe, a gasket between the center pipe and the rear muffler, and a bolt to secure the rear muffler and triangular muffler ring. To put it bluntly, the nut that fixes the catalyst and the center pipe is a little suspicious, so it would have been nice if it came with it, but it became shiny. I tried riding a little, but it seems (^_^;) to be a little careful in the neighborhood with idling The exhaust sound of the imp or Evo makes the sound of the same feeling as the glass in the house is crispy. What will happen if it is fully opened…
