Production of China Carbon Road No. 2 Part 5 [Installation of HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE]

time 2017/01/02

Continued from the last time. The conduct hydraulic disc brake ordered at Giant Store Nara store on Wednesday holiday arrived on Saturday, so I immediately received it. The contents of the box are like this. The guy at the bottom right is like a maintenance kit we ordered together.
installs a hydraulic conversion mechanism instead of the stem faceplate, but since it is dedicated to giant stems, cheap giant stems are also purchased and installed at the same time. The length of the column is for the time being. Install the conduct brake. The handle and shim were also installed. But the problem occurs. Is the shape of the shim L-shaped? But the hydraulically converting part and the shim interfere and cannot be installed correctly. I was able to do it, so I shaved the L-shaped part of the shim to fit. Wire pull part. The short distance from the STI lever to the conduct brake is the wire pull. Processing of the tip of the hydraulic line. The mounting manual that was in the box of the conduct brake was quite halfway, and there was no explanation of the processing method around here, so I looked at the shape of the part and tried to assemble it by imagination. Insert this part. Push in with this tool. Shoved. I also imagine the order of the bottom three parts. Since one of the parts is tapered, I guessed that it would be adhered by screwing it, so I made it in this order and this direction. Installation end. Installing the front brake caliper. I was going to use 160mm at the front, so I used the adapter that came with it. Installing the rear caliper. Unlike HY/RD, clearance with seat stay is plentii. The length adjustment and installation of the hydraulic line are completed, and the next is air vented. The maintenance kit contained two cylinders, and I didn't know how to vent the air a little, so I give up here. When I asked the clerk of giant store Nara store if there was a manual, there seems to be another manual apparently, so I had a photo sent and drained the air while watching it. There were many things that were not written in the manual in the box of the conduct brake. (^^;) According to it, the installation of the parts at the tip of the hydraulic line was perfectly matched. The photo shows another air vent kit that I had for a long time. Brake fluid uses this. I removed the brake pad… (^^;) It is troublesome to go to the Giant Store to pick up the change pad, so I hope I can order it on the net…
