Photographing the Milky Way in Odaigahara

time 2016/05/05

It was May, but I photographed the Milky Way in Odaigahara. I had heard that odaigahara was dark in the sky and good for astronomical observation, so I wanted to go there, but there was a distance and I did not have a chance to go easily. At that time, I often participated in the event because I went to Odaigahara in the mixi star community. Although it is May, the altitude is high, so I took the warmest clothes with the clothes I have so that I should come in the clothes of the severe winter. 2016-05-04-16-57-08
It was the first time to come even if it had nothing to do with the stars. 2016-05-04-16-34-14 While hanging out, campers and one-box cars began to gather and installed astronomical telescopes. It always seems to be like this here. 2016-05-04-17-49-49 I ate bread and the like lightly to prepare it soon, and prepared the luggage. This time, it was not a parking lot in Odaigahara, but i was trying to walk a little on the mountain path and see the stars around Masakigahara. I was dissatisfied with the Polarier I had before, so I bought a new equatorial ceremony, but it is quite large even though it is portable. The equatorial globe, gas burner, kochel and 2 liters of water were combined to about 18 kg… In the end, I moved in a short sleeve-like shape. When I arrived at Masakigahara and settled down, my body temperature began to drop, so I got the warmest appearance. The wind was strong and cold. I started going up early, so I got the best and got a good place. I assembled the equatorial globe and started shooting. By the way, I bought an equatorial ceremony called SmartEQ Pro of iOptron. 2016-05-04-21-58-56 Because it is a little expensive when it is a domestic mail order, I bought it on a site called Oceanside Photo & Telescope overseas. However, there is no Japanese manual, and there are few review sites, so it is close to the human pillar, and after it arrived, I translated the English manual single-mindedly. It is not so high equatorial, but it will automatically introduce by entering the latitude and longitude time. After that, it is an extension, but it seems to support auto guide by connecting to a PC. This time, since the purpose is to photograph the Milky Way, after entering the latitude and longitude time by matching the polar axes, the camera was rotated in the desired direction with the controller without automatic introduction. There are various functions, but it is a little big and heavy and overspec for applications like this time, so I felt that a small equatorial ceremony like Polarier or Sky Memo would be better when shooting on foot. F/3.5 ISO800 This was the first time I took a picture img_2016_05_05_2712_20160505_072005_ img_2016_05_05_2741_20160505_232036 of the Milky Way, so I was happy. In the strong wind and cold, I was single-mindedly shooting while enduring with tea boiled with a burner, but the next day I had a plan, so I went home first around 1 to 2 o'clock. The people who went together saw the sunrise. I want to go again.
